Its simple delicate appearance belies a construction that is strong and flexible.

Continuous Arm Windsor

The chair was first made in New York City, about 1790. The existence of hundreds of old windsors that have survived the eighteenth century is witness to the strength of these chairs.

Sack Back Windsor

This design is thought to have come from Southeastern New England in tha last quarter of the eighteenth century.

You will find it a very intriguing and useful chair, as it lends itself very well to a variety of settings.
